Combined INLA Working Groups Meeting in Cadarache ( May 2019 )

Organizer: Fusion For Energy

As announced in the No 1 Update (April 2019), representatives of six out of the seven Working Groups converged in Cadarache ( south of France ) on 21 May, to discuss the future scientific programme of the Washington congress and explore the potential for strengthened cooperation between these Groups.

The meeting was hosted by Fusion For Energy, which is the EU Agency for the ITER Project, and by the ITER International Nuclear Fusion Organization itself. It was agreed that exchanges between the Working Groups would continue, with a view to draw some orientations of the programme for the 2020 congress, to be reflected in the 1st Announcement of the congress and its call for contributions. It was also generally recognized that nuclear fusion legal issues, as discussed during the meeting, should be on the table of the congress.

A special thanks to Karoly Olajos and to Alexandra van Kalleveen who were instrumental in making the event possible.
